There’s a fine line between confidence and cockiness, and many job seekers shy away from touting their strengths and abilities enough during the job search because of that. But if there was ever a time to boast, that time is now—during that networking event, in that introduction email to the recruiter, and especially in that interview. Let’s take a look at how to talk about your strengths to employers.

“The interview is for bragging,” says Hallie Crawford, a certified career coach and founder of Hallie Crawford Career Coaching. “The purpose is to tout your skills. So manage those voices in your head that say you shouldn’t be bragging. This is the time to do it.”
