Food for Thought: Multitasking-Does it work? Part 2

Tip #2: Schedule quiet time

Relaxing and quieting your mind, even if it’s just for ten minutes, is proven to help you rejuvenate, re-focus and perform tasks at a higher level.  According to the Time magazine article, “meditation actually affects the structure and function of the brain, changing it in ways that appear to increase attention span, sharpen focus and improve memory.” You know how well you perform when you’re calm and relaxed versus frazzled and unfocused.  Give yourself a “time out” – – a few moments of peace each day.
