Alert yourself to improve your career transition

A lot of my career coaching clients ask about their online presence. They want to know what they can do about it, if anything, and how to monitor it. This is a basic tool that not everyone knows about. It was referenced in this article from Mashable.com and I wanted to share it with you:

Sign up for Google Alerts so you know when something new has been posted about you online. http://mashable.com/2012/05/31/advice-for-new-grads/

This advice goes for everyone, not just new grads. Set up an alert so you’re able to constantly monitor what goes on about you online, just in case. Many employers are using this as a tool these days, so it’s important not to ignore this advice. Check it out!
